The Company got converted into Public Limited in 1990 and changed to 'Amara Raja Batteries Limited' . The Company has now changed its name to Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited from Amara Raja Batteries Limited w.e.f. September 27, 2023. The Company is the technology leader and one of the largest manufacturers of lead-acid batteries for both industrial and automotive applications in the Indian storage battery industry.
