NTPC Limited is India's largest power utility company engaged in the business of generation and sale of bulk power to State Power Utilities. Other business of the Company includes providing consultancy, project management & supervision, energy trading, oil & gas exploration and coal mining. NTPC Limited was incorporated on November 7, 1975 as a private limited company with the name National Thermal Power Corporation Pvt Ltd.
