About the company

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has been conferred as 'Schedule A', Category-I CPSE under the Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India in July, 2023. As at March 31, 2024, the Government of India holds 72.86% of equity share capital in the Company. The Company was founded in March, 1972 as a fully owned Government of India company. In April 1972, the foundation stone was laid for hull shop of the company.
